Restaurant Data Processing Terms
Effective Date: April 7, 2026 · Last Updated: April 7, 2026
These Restaurant Data Processing Terms describe how Olis Technologies, LLC, doing business as Ölis, processes restaurant customer data when a restaurant uses the Service. If a restaurant has a separate signed agreement with us, that agreement controls where it conflicts with this public page.
1. Roles
For restaurant guest data processed through the Service, the participating restaurant is responsible for its business decisions, guest outreach decisions, and legal compliance as the business or controller. Ölis processes that restaurant data to provide the Service and acts as a processor or service provider for that scope of data.
Ölis may separately process data as an independent business for its own website operations, security, fraud prevention, support, billing, compliance, and manager-account administration.
2. Covered Data
Covered restaurant data may include guest email addresses, table context, visit history, rewards, comp redemption data, campaign content, campaign delivery and unsubscribe records, manager account records, and related support logs.
3. Processing Scope
We process covered restaurant data to provide QR-based guest check-in, visit and reward records, guest success screens, manager access, restaurant outreach, basic reporting, fraud prevention, security, support, and related platform operations.
4. Restaurant Responsibilities
- Restaurants remain responsible for their own privacy notices, marketing choices, and offer content.
- Restaurants must have the right to use the data they submit to the Service.
- Restaurants are responsible for honoring legal restrictions that apply to their own campaigns and business operations.
- Restaurants should promptly update or remove data they no longer have the right to use.
5. Our Commitments
- We process covered restaurant data to provide and secure the Service.
- We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards.
- We limit internal access to personnel and contractors who need it for the Service.
- We require persons with access to covered restaurant data to be subject to confidentiality obligations.
6. Service Providers
We may use subprocessors or service providers to operate the Service, including providers for hosting, infrastructure, databases, authentication, and email delivery. We remain responsible for managing those providers in connection with the Service we provide.
7. Assistance and Incidents
Where reasonably necessary and taking into account the nature of the processing, we may assist restaurants with privacy or security issues related to covered restaurant data. If we determine that a security incident affects covered restaurant data, we will notify the affected restaurant as required by applicable law and our agreements.
8. Deletion and Return
We may retain covered restaurant data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain records, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law. On termination of the applicable relationship, deletion or return of data may occur according to the applicable agreement, operational constraints, and backup practices.
